We recognize that there are many organisations and healthcare professionals who work hard daily to raise awareness of ways to prevent and reduce the risk injuries associated with falls among older adults. However, we can all play a role in helping to prevent injuries due to slips, trips and falls. We encourage you to consult the different available programs that can help make a difference for yourself, your family and your community.   

Physical Activity Based Fall Prevention Programs

Studies have demonstrated that participation in physical activity can help to reduce the risk of injuries related to falls among seniors.

Community Involvement Programs

Community participation is a proven approach that can help address a variety of public health issues. We encourage you to learn more about ways you can get involved in your community to help reduce senior's risk of falls by participating in efforts such as Annual Awareness Campaigns or supporting .
